Tras la edición en abril de 2018 de "Magia Con Precisión", el álbum de debut de Madbil (“doce canciones que atesoran esencia y solera”, César Prieto en Efe Eme), Pablo Ruigómez traba contacto con Geoff Smith, quien fuera vocalista, guitarra y compositor de The Palace Of Light y Mabel Joy, grupos de Londres de mediados/finales de los 80, cuyos únicos discos fueron recuperados por Hanky Panky Records en 2017 y 2013, respectivamente. Su afinidad en gustos musicales les lleva a comenzar una colaboración artística a distancia. A ellos se une poco después Jacky Garratt, una cantautora amiga de Smith, ubicada en Penzance (Cornwall, Inglaterra). “Good Days” es el primer fruto de esta colaboración internacional a tres bandas. Una canción escrita por los tres, que Geoff Smith canta con exquisita contención, recordando inevitablemente alguno de los mejores momentos del pop independiente británico de los 80 y 90, y que huele a hit por los cuatro costados. Esperemos que sea la primera de muchas más grandes canciones por venir.

MADBIL es un proyecto formado por el bilbaíno Pablo Ruigómez y el madrileño Javier Martínez (Superpez, The Secret Society, Cuarto Oscuro, Urbasón), con las colaboraciones habituales de María Ruigómez y de Kike Mora, y en esta ocasión de David T. Ginzo (Tuya).

Pablo Ruigómez formó parte de la banda Cuarto Oscuro en los primeros 90, como teclados, guitarra y autor de varios temas. Cuarto Oscuro llegó en dos ocasiones a ser finalista en el concurso Villa de Madrid.

After releasing in April 2018 "Magia Con Precisión", Madbil's debut album, Pablo Ruigómez got in touch with Geoff Smith, former vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for The Palace Of Light and Mabel Joy, two London-based bands from the mid-late 80's, whose only albums were reissued by Hanky Panky Records in 2017 and 2013, respectively. Their shared musical interests lead to a long distance artistic collaboration between the two. They soon added Jacky Garratt, a singer songwriter friend of Smith, based in Penzance (Cornwall, UK). “Good Days” is the first fruit of this international artistic team. A joint songwriting effort that Geoff Smith sings with exquisite restraint, inevitably bringing to mind some of the best moments of British indie pop from the 80's and 90's, it screams hit-single. Hopefully, the first of many more great songs to come.

MADBIL is the musical project of Bilbao born Pablo Ruigómez and Madrid born Javier Martínez (Superpez, The Secret Society, Cuarto Oscuro, Urbasón), with the aid of María Ruigómez and Kike Mora, and on this occasion David T. Ginzo (Tuya).

Pablo Ruigómez was a member of the band Cuarto Oscuro in the early 90's, as a keyboard player, guitarist and songwriter.
