"During the 80's, The Band of Outsiders were one of the most consistently dynamic bands on New York's vibrant East Village scene, noted for their bittersweet songs and stellar guitar interplay between Marc Jeffrey and Jim McCarthy. This writer was sufficiently stricken to bring them to the UK in 1985, coinciding with their Ivan Kral-produced tracks on the Faraway in America album with Certain General. With scorching shows and Up The River-mini-album, they built a string following before splitting, seeming destined to languish in NY musical history until reforming a few years ago... The world will be a better place when their album is released later this year."

Nos visita el legendario cantautor americano BOB LIND para presentar "Finding You Again", una edición del prestigioso sello británico Big Beat y que supone su primer disco en estudio en casi 40 años. La prensa especializada ha sido unánime a la hora de valorar de manera entusiasta este "regreso" producido por Jamie Hoover (Spongetones), y que algunos califican como su mejor colección de canciones hasta la fecha. Un poco de perspectiva: Bob Lind compuso y grabó "Elusive Butterfly" en 1966, un éxito en las listas americanas y de medio mundo, y una de esas canciones que inequívocamente aparecen ligadas a esa milagrosa década. Entre 1966 y 1970 grabó tres discos, dos de ellos arreglados y producidos por el gran Jack Nitzsche, en donde fundía el naciente folk-rock de la época con estilizados arreglos de cuerda. Pese a mantenerse alejado de la industria discográfica durante años, Lind nunca dejó de escribir canciones y tocarlas en vivo con cierta regularidad. Hace unos años publicó el directo "Bob Lind Live At The Luna Star Cafe" que recogía alguna de estas nuevas composiciones junto a sus viejos clásicos, y en 2010 apareció el documental sobre su vida "Bob Lind: Perspective", dirigido por Paul Surratt. Más de 200 artistas han grabado sus canciones (desde Aretha Franklin a Eric Clapton, pasando por Cher, Dolly Parton, Nancy Sinatra, los Four Tops o Marianne Faithful), y entre sus admiradores actuales podemos citar a Richard Hawley, Sean O'Hagan (High Llamas) o el mismísimo Jarvis Cocker que le dedicó la canción "Bob Lind (The Only Way is Down)" en el álbum de Pulp "We Love Life". Dos únicas fechas (Bilbao y Madrid) para esta visita que también recalará en suelo británico donde aparecerá en el prestigioso festival "End Of The Road".

En Madrid actuará como telonero "Ashworth", que se presentará en formato dúo, para desplegar un repertorio propio basado en múltiples influencias que abarcan desde el folk británico de finales de los 60 y primeros 70 hasta la música india. Citan como referencias a Paul simon, Beatles, The Humblebums. Chad and Jeremy, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Fairport Convention, Joni Mitchell, Bread, Bert Jansch, Nick Drake, Cat Stevens, Supertramp.
